New Picture Hooks Competition + Webinar with Chris Haughton!

We are delighted to announce our first competition of 2024, the latest of our ‘Before and After’ competitions, on the theme Ready, Steady… GO! There will be one Ready, Steady… GO! competition taking place during May – June 2024. The winner will receive a prize of £500, and two additional awarded runners up will both receive £250. As a companion to the Ready, Steady…GO! competition, we will be hosting a free webinar with multi-award-winning illustrator Chris Haughton on the topic of ‘Creating Tension: The importance of the page turn’ on 12 June 2024 at 7pm (UK time). This is a key skill for picture book illustration, and one which Chris demonstrates masterfully in his many books for children, including Oh No, George!, Shh!
