Masterclass: Character Development with Sarah Massini (date tbc)

Picture Hooks is thrilled to be hosting illustrator Sarah Massini at Edinburgh Printmakers on a new date to be confirmed for a masterclass on character development. Sarah will share her tips on how to create new characters and work with existing characters. Participants will have the opportunity to put Sarah’s techniques into practice with a practical session illustrating their own characters.  

The workshop will hopefully take place from 10am to 3pm with a lunch break from 12 – 12:45pm. Lunch is not included in the ticket price but there is a café on site where fantastic food is on offer and lots of other options nearby.  

All materials will be provided.  

Sarah Massini spent her childhood globetrotting, all of which provided an early opportunity to absorb different cultures and influences. She studied Graphic Design in Manchester and following careers in corporate design and as an art editor in children’s publishing, she settled down to pursue a life-long dream: to illustrate books. Her most recent books include: The Girl and the Dinosaur, Star in the Jar and Mouse’s Night Before Christmas.
