Hannah grew up in Musselburgh, a fishing town near Edinburgh that’s famous for its ice cream parlours and particularly honest citizens. She spent most of her childhood drawing pictures, eating 99s and trying not to tell fibs. She studied Visual Communication at Glasgow School of Art and then at the Royal College of Art, and has worked for the Drawing Center in New York, the Campaign for Drawing and the House of Illustration in London. Alongside her practice as a painter, printmaker and illustrator, she co-directs ReachOutRCA, the Royal College of Art’s schools outreach programme.
Hannah was mentored by Mick Manning and Brita Granstrom.
