Laura Clark

Laura Clark studied Foundation Art and Design at Coleg Menai, Bangor, and then illustration at Edinburgh College of Art. She has illustrated several books published by A&C Black, including The Hut that Grew and Noah’s Art by Annie Dalton. As well as collecting old picture books, Laura loves hill walking. She is always out and about, looking for hills to climb.

Laura was mentored by Alison Murray during our 2012/13 mentoring scheme.

“At the start of this project, I was adamant I didn’t want to make pictures on a computer: I thought they would look like a robot drew them! Alison persuaded me otherwise by showing me how to make a computer collage out of rough drawings and inky splodges, so I can put the liveliness of my sketchbooks into a finished picture.”
